Elon Musk's Grok AI Is Coming to Telegram For 1 Year, Available for Free to All Users

Elon Musk's xAI is branching out Grok AI to more users and experiences as Telegram has announced its latest partnership with the company.

This latest deal will soon offer access to Grok AI on Telegram for one year, with Free users given the chance to utilize the chatbot right on the messaging app.

For years, Telegram has utilized AI to help improve the instant messaging experience and more features of its platform, with the company also integrating generative AI that started earlier this year for Premium users.

Elon Musk's Grok AI is Coming to All Telegram Users

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has shared via a post on X that there is a partnership between his platform and xAI that brings a significant integration of Grok AI to the Telegram messaging app.

According to Telegram, users may utilize Grok as a built-in chatbot on the platform, with users getting a chance to easily access their chat and ask it to create content or talk about anything that a user has in mind.

Durov also said that this is a win-win situation for Telegram as they are receiving $300 million in cash and equity from xAI under this partnership, as well as 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via the instant messaging platform.

Grok AI on Telegram: Available for Free for a Year

Grok AI will be integrated into Telegram, and users will be able to begin getting the AI-powered experience this summer. Durov noted that this latest partnership would last for one year, and this means that users would get a chance to access Grok until next summer or continue to do so if the collaboration gets renewed.

Telegram's Grok feature is available to all users for free, and it will no longer require a subscription unlike its testing earlier this year.

Grok AI: Chatbot Is Expanding Its Capabilities

Musk and xAI have been busy, particularly as massive improvements have delivered to its AI chatbot with models that look to catch up against known rivals. Recently, Grok AI received the "Grok 3" model, which promises a next-level experience for users that centers on offering reasoning capabilities and improved creativity.

Grok AI has been touted as the edgy and zesty chatbot of the internet, particularly as it adopted a snarky persona that brings a more personable approach to the experience that it popularized when it launched. Apart from this, xAI recently gave Grok a "Full Memory Mode," which helps it recall previous conversations and take it into consideration when chatting.

Grok has come so far since its launch less than two years ago, giving X users a significant chatbot experience that was once an exclusive experience, but the AI is now branching out.
