Disney+, Hulu Offer Freebies, Perks for Users After Raising Subscription Prices

For all Disney+ and Hulu subscribers, the company has launched a new perks and rewards program for you to enjoy with your active subscription, offering numerous freebies. The new website now lists several perks available for users, and they only need to enter their streaming credentials by logging in.

This comes after the recent price hike that Disney+ and Hulu affected across its platforms, with the more expensive streaming subscription now looking to make it up to users with this latest program.

Disney+, Hulu Now Offers Freebies and Perks for Users

The Walt Disney Company has launched a new Disney+ Perks website that now delivers significant additions to users' subscriptions under Disney+ and Hulu, including several freebies, discounts, and more.

Users only need to log in using their Disney+ or Hulu account on the said website to gain access to the many perks available, with this also leveraging free experiences or rewards and products from its partners that can be claimed.

Some of the perks available here include a DoorDash premium subscription for six months, a Duolingo premium subscription trial for months, discounts on select Disney Resorts Collection hotels (minimum of two nights), Adidas online marketplace discounts, and more.

The New Perks Program Came After Price Hike

According to ArsTechnica, Disney+ is offering this new perk experience exclusive for subscribers amidst the price hike that is taking effect amongst subscribers, with this offering more to their subscriptions.

Hulu subscribers will begin getting access to these perks come June 2, and they will have a different list from Disney+ subscribers.

Disney+ and Its Streaming Experiences

The Walt Disney Company's streaming experiences have grown exponentially over the years, and while Disney+ cannot exactly go head-to-head against Netflix, it still manages to keep up. One of the biggest changes to the Disney+ streaming experience was the password-sharing crackdown that was implemented late last year, with users who are not part of the household getting blocked from accessing an account.

Apart from the new shows that Disney+ adds regularly, the company has also focused on other types of content to deliver to the platform, one that replicates more of the live TV experience for users. One of the biggest additions to the streaming platform was the availability of live sports shows that users may stream directly from Disney+, with new ESPN shows also expanding more of its lineup.

One of the biggest changes that is slated to arrive for Disney+ is the addition of free ad-supported streaming television (FAST), which will offer a nonstop rundown of shows featuring the diverse content of its IP.

According to earlier reports, Disney+ will offer its tentpole content from the likes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more via the FAST feed, with users receiving a television-style streaming experience.
