True Trading Co-Founder Ben Bilski Wants to Bring the 'ChatGPT for Crypto Trading' to the Masses

After almost 10 years at the helm of a $460 million publicly listed brokerage, Ben Bilski experienced a truth that few in his industry would ever admit: the system is fundamentally broken.

"In fact, 90% of retail traders lose money," he states bluntly. "The current landscape of decentralized finance creates significant barriers to entry for everyone, from general traders to seasoned investors."

It's a system, Ben tells Tech Times, that is not fair against the individual.

"For new users, the problem is overwhelming complexity. There are too many wallets, chains, bridges, and interfaces. Even experienced traders have trouble dealing with fragmentation, since the liquidity is split, user experience is clunky at best, and execution is inconsistent compared to CEXs."

Ben is not just a critic; he is a proven builder in the fintech space. As the co-founder of The NAGA Group AG (N4G.DE), he successfully led the company to an IPO and a valuation exceeding $460 million. His work with NAGA, a social trading platform, gave him an insider's view of the industry's deep-seated flaws and a vision for what could come next.

"It was clear to me that the next multi-billion dollar trading platform would be a solution that is like ChatGPT for trading," he says.

With his new AI infrastructure company that operates True Trading, Ben is not just building another trading app. He is going after the root problem of trading in an unfair system.

"You see, existing AI bots don't solve the current situation because they operate in isolation. They either scrape generic market data or run simplistic strategies, which means they don't integrate with the trading platform itself. As a result, you get generic advice instead of something actionable."

But that's not the worst part, according to Ben.

"Unfortunately, what's even worse is that these bots promise so-called autopilot profits that only create trust issues when performance doesn't match the pitch. I'd argue it happens more often than not."

The Need for a TRUE Change

This is where True Trading steps in. As an AI-native infrastructure fully trained on-chain and deployed on its own Solana Layer 2, it's designed to replace traditional charts and dashboards with an agent that "sees what the human eye can't."

"TRUE Trading fixes the current status quo by embedding AI into the trading layer itself, where it has access to pricing, execution, and on-chain history. That is how we are able to deliver context-aware guidance, not empty signals you can find elsewhere," says Bilski.

During his time with NAGA, he witnessed firsthand the appetite for social and copy trading in traditional markets.

"What I saw was that centralized models always came with certain trade-offs, whether it was custodial risks, opaque spreads, or the ever-present high barriers to entry. With TRUE Trading, the vision is to rebuild that experience on-chain by basing it on three key pillars: self-custody, transparency, and AI-driven accessibility.

After years of working in fintech and trading, I realized the next leap wasn't going to be 'another broker' or another derivative, but a protocol that makes markets open and intelligent."

Working Toward a More Accessible Financial Ecosystem

For Bilski, this new venture isn't about incremental improvement. Rather, it's about a new class of financial infrastructure where AI and users evolve in a symbiotic, decentralized relationship.

"Speaking from experience, most retail investors are lost when facing a trading dashboard full of charts and leverage sliders. TRUE Trading removes that intimidation. You simply ask something like 'buy $500 of SOL,' or 'open a 5× long with a 2% stop-loss,' and the AI executes while explaining the risks."

"This turns trading from a specialist skill into a natural conversation," he continues. "It lowers the barrier to entry by letting beginners interact in plain language, while still giving advanced users a fast, intelligent assistant that automates repetitive tasks."

Advantages of On-Chain Models Over Off-Chain

Bilski is quick to point out that TRUE Trading's LLM is "fully trained on-chain" and gets smarter with every trade—something that provides a distinct advantage over traditional, off-chain AI models.

"Traditional AI models are static, as they're trained once and then quickly go out of date. TRUE Trading's model evolves directly from on-chain data regarding order flow, trading outcomes, and behavioral patterns. This means the model doesn't just 'read about' markets but 'lives inside them,' for lack of better wording.

The advantage is accuracy and reliability, as on-chain training provides verifiable data free from manipulation. Over time, this creates an AI that is specialized, continuously learning, and uniquely tuned to DeFi markets—completely different from generic off-chain LLMs."

Users as Both Consumers and Owners

Considering that in traditional fintech, users' data is monetized by the platform and they get nothing in return, Bilski understands the importance of active contribution to the collective intelligence of the AI.

"I understand it all too well, I feel. Hence, it's important to stress that TRUE Trading's model rewards users with TRUE Points for contributing behavioral and transactional data," he notes.

"The model is flipped, basically. Here, the users aren't just consumers—they're co-owners of the protocol's brain. The more you trade or interact, the smarter the AI becomes, which means more value flows back to you through rewards, retrodrops, and better trading guidance."

"It's a true data co-op, not a one-way extraction, Ben adds."

But what does it really mean for a user to own a piece of the underlying AI?

"For one thing, it goes beyond just holding a utility token. It means owning part of a self-improving AI-driven exchange. As the AI grows smarter and the protocol scales, token holders benefit directly through fee discounts, AI access credits, and systematic buybacks funded by trading revenue."

The TRUE Trading co-founder also touched upon the long-term financial implications.

"Think about it: instead of Wall Street or Big Tech owning the AI that powers finance, the users themselves own it. That shifts value back to the community by creating a new asset class where intelligence itself becomes a shared, monetizable resource. How great is that?"

What Makes TRUE Trading Stand Out

Naturally, with the description of "ChatGPT for trading" comes a bit of an explanation regarding what makes TRUE Trading different from existing products on the market.

"Well, if we're talking about robo-advisors or even automated trading platforms, I liken them to closed black boxes. They run rigid strategies, you don't know why they trade, and your funds are usually custodied."

"I'll try to break it down," Bilski says. "Our AI is fundamentally different for a few reasons, namely by being connected directly to the exchange. This grants it access to real-time data, order flow, and pricing."

"Then, it's conversational and explainable," he continues. "You can freely ask why it recommends something, and it will provide a meaningful answer."

And in what is one of the often underreported aspects of AI, the platform doesn't auto-trade behind the user's back.

"Not a chance," says Bilski. "You always approve execution, so there is no rogue AI risk or anything similar."

From the security standpoint, the AI runs within a non-custodial, verifiable system.

"You keep control of your wallet, your keys, and your approvals. That makes it safer by design compared to centralized automation platforms," Bilski adds.

Looking Ahead

The company's initial coin offering (ICO), which is the cryptocurrency industry's equivalent of an IPO, starts on September 10th, an event that Bilski is eagerly anticipating.

"I reckon that the world has one, maybe two years to build fair and open AI before BigTech locks everything behind closed doors," Ben notes. "TRUE Trading is seizing this moment, giving early adopters a chance to be a part of what I truly believe will be the next AI breakthrough."

His vision of a fully AI-native, decentralized financial system revolves around a seemingly simple idea, but one that hasn't come to fruition yet: that markets should speak the user's language instead of the other way around.

"Based on my dealings with fintech and trading, a fully AI-native DeFi system is the one where protocols are self-optimizing, learning from every trade to improve efficiency, and where users own the intelligence layer they contribute to instead of renting access."

And with TRUE Trading, Bilski feels that vision is close to reality.

"We are laying that foundation today, with ZK-verified Solana Layer 2 for scale, AI-guided UX for accessibility, and tokenomics that align platform success with community ownership. It's not just another DEX—it's the blueprint for a new financial paradigm," he concludes.
