Electronic Arts is sharing more "The Sims" experience as two games from the franchise are heading to mobile early next month.
EA Brings Two 'The Sims' Games to Mobile For Free
Electronic Arts shared a new announcement, which confirms the official debut of two new games, "MySims" and "MySims: Kingdom," for all mobile users worldwide. These games are retro titles from the franchise that were previously released for the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles. "MySims: Kingdom" was also released for PC.
As per the report, "MySims" and "MySims: Kingdom" are more reminiscent of "Animal Crossing," which features avatars that have big heads and small bodies, unlike the usual "The Sims" avatar look.
'MySims,' 'MySims: Kingdom' Retro Re-Release
The first release of these games was dropped in succession, with "MySims" made available in 2007 while "MySims: Kingdom" was released in 2008. Both games were seen as successful releases.
The games coming to mobile are not considered remasters by EA as they are re-releases of the original games for the modern mobile platform. This means that they would feature the same graphics, mechanics, and plot as the original.
Here's the Catch on 'The Sims' Mobile Games
However, there is a catch. This is because "MySims" and "MySims: Kingdom" would be exclusively released on the Apple Arcade. This means that the games would only be available on the iOS platform, including both the iPhone and iPad devices, come November 6.
Electronic Arts has not yet said anything regarding an Android release as of writing.
Since it is releasing on Apple Arcade, this also means that users who want to play "MySims" and "MySims: Kingdom" would have to be subscribed to Apple's mobile gaming service to download and access the titles.
The good thing is that these two games would be available without any additional charges and would only require the Apple Arcade subscription.
