This year's Halloween season will be a massive one for "Fortnite" as the company teased that there will be major collaborations coming to its special limited-time event "Fortnitemares."
Previous "Fortnitemares" content also featured massive collaborations with horror franchises, and this year will be no different.
The upcoming "Fortnitemares" is coming in several weeks to celebrate the start of Halloween 2025, with "Fortnite" having prepared a lot for this year's showcase for the battle royale.
'Fortnitemares' Teaser Unveils Major Collaboration
The official account of "Fortnite" on Reddit has shared the massive collaborations coming to this year's edition of "Fortnitemares," its special Halloween limited-time event on the platform. The teaser featured three posters that showed the different collaborations coming to the battle island once "Fortnitemares" drops.
First, the company has shared a poster featuring Ghostface, the iconic slasher villain that shaped the early 2000s horror genre as the villain of "Scream." Also in the poster was Ghostface's iconic knife, which features Peely as its next victim, whose reflection is seen on the weapon.
Next, Epic Games' "Fortnite" team shared an image of its collaboration with "R.E.P.O.," which was recently released by its developers, Semiwork, on the Windows PC platform. "R.E.P.O." has recently gained significant attention for its take on a survival co-op horror game. The game is on early access on Steam as of writing.
Lastly, "Fortnite" is also featuring Hanna-Barbera's "Scooby-Doo" and his trusty team to also be part of this year's "Fortnitemares." The poster features all the main members of the Mystery Incorporated team, such as Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred present.
The iconic Supply Llama on "Fortnite" is also seen alongside the gang, seemingly trapped by thorny vines.
What to Expect from 'Fortnite's Halloween 2025?
All of the poster teasers shared by "Fortnite" in each subreddit of the specific franchise were only captioned with a winky face emoji without any supporting details.
According to GameRant, it is expected that "Fortnite" will share more information later this week, particularly as it is nearing the expected release of 2025's "Fortnitemares" event. The "Fortnitemares" event release always comes ahead of Halloween, giving players weeks to enjoy the horror-filled spectacle in the battle royale game.
It is also expected that Epic Games and "Fortnite" will also adopt the map to feature more "Fortnitemares"-themed content, one that would also be based on its upcoming collaborations.
According to GameRant, "Fortnite" has recently dropped its latest collaboration featuring Netflix's "KPop Demon Hunters" on the battle island, so it may take some time before "Fortnitemares" sees its introduction.
Nevertheless, it is speculated that these would be unveiled come October 9 and last until Chapter 6 Season 4's end by November 1.
