Sandeep Reddy Kaidhapuram has built a career at the intersection of technology, healthcare, and regulatory systems. Trained as an electrical engineer, his early fascination with how signals move reliably through complex networks later evolved into a passion for how information moves through healthcare systems, where reliability can directly affect patient outcomes.

From Electrical Engineering to Healthcare Systems

After earning his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India and a Master's degree from Cleveland State University in Ohio, Kaidhapuram began his professional journey in enterprise integration. His transition into healthcare technology came while working on a project with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he addressed long-standing challenges in medical data interoperability.

At the time, veterans' health information was scattered across disconnected electronic health record systems. Kaidhapuram developed HL7v2-based integration pipelines using IBM Integration Bus, establishing a unified messaging framework that allowed clinical data to flow securely and accurately between systems. This work enabled clinicians to access comprehensive patient records across facilities in real-time, improving both efficiency and quality of care.

Responding to a National Health Emergency

In 2020, while working with Deloitte Consulting LLP in Orlando, Florida, Kaidhapuram took on a key role supporting the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The FDA faced an unprecedented volume of emergency drug submissions—each containing extensive data on safety, efficacy, and manufacturing—that its manual review systems could not process quickly enough.

Kaidhapuram led the technical design of a middleware integration platform that automated the submission process. The platform validated incoming data, standardized document structures, and routed submissions to appropriate review teams while maintaining regulatory compliance. This initiative reduced review timelines by about 70 percent, enabling faster assessment of critical therapies and vaccines. The system became a long-term component of the FDA's digital infrastructure, supporting ongoing efforts to modernize its operations.

Advancing Responsible AI at Salesforce

Today, as a Lead Platform Solution Engineer at Salesforce, Kaidhapuram focuses on how artificial intelligence can be safely and effectively integrated into enterprise and healthcare environments. His recent work involves creating AI governance and policy enforcement frameworks using MuleSoft Flex Gateway, which help organizations ensure that Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents operate securely within regulated contexts such as healthcare and financial services.

Kaidhapuram's contributions have earned him recognition as a Top Performer at Salesforce, along with the company's Black Belt certification for technical excellence. He frequently shares his insights at leading technology forums, including the HIMSS Global Health Conference and APIDays, where he discusses AI interoperability, data governance, and scalable architecture design for regulated industries.
