"Pokémon Legends: Z-A" has officially unveiled Mega Lucario Z, which will be part of the new Mega Evolution forms coming with the "Mega Dimension" DLC.
'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' Officially Unveils Mega Lucario Z
The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have released the latest promotional materials that officially unveil the next Mega Evolution coming to "Pokémon Legends: Z-A," Mega Lucario Z.
This means that Lucario is getting its second Mega-evolved form as the Pokémon previously only received one Mega version.
The new Mega Evolution form of Lucario gets the "Z" suffix, which represents the second Mega-evolved form, similar to the two versions of Charizard introduced in "Pokémon X and Y." The 12-year-old game, which introduced the Kalos region and Lumiose City, "Pokémon Legends: Z-A's" source material, originally debuted two Mega Stones for Charizard, the Charizardrite X and the Charizardrite Y.
The original Mega Stone for Lucario is called the Lucarionite, which transforms the Pokémon into its more powerful form, but this one is heavily inspired by its mostly blue fur with yellow accents and red highlights added to its design.
The new Mega Lucario Z gets a similar colorway to its Shiny form with a predominant yellow fur color, but it is not a simple inversion of its colorway.
It was also revealed that the Aura Pokémon's second Mega evolution form would still be the same Fighting/Steel-type, and potentially receive the same stats as the Mega Lucario's original version.
'Mega Dimension' to Bring New Mega Evolutions
In the trailer, Pokémon showed off Mega Lucario Z facing off with the first Mega Lucario version, and here, players would see the significant differences between the two creatures.
The game's original premise is the Mega Evolution experience, with this appearing all over Lumiose City, and it is up to the player's main character avatar to save it from being destroyed.
The "Mega Dimension" DLC follows up on this focus, but this time, it has Hoopa creating an inter-dimensional portal that would take users to a land filled with new Mega Evolutions.
