LAS VEGAS — At CES 2026, the energy sector is buzzing with talk of high-capacity storage and residential ecosystems. Amidst the giants, Marstek Energy is carving out a significant niche by doubling down on a core philosophy: making advanced energy technology affordable and accessible for the everyday consumer.

Founded in 2020 by Peter Glasder, Marstek has rapidly expanded from its German roots to become a global player in the solar and portable power market. This year, the company's showcase at the Venetian Expo highlights a strategic shift toward more compact, cost-effective solutions tailored for regions facing frequent power instability.

Breaking into the U.S. Market

While Marstek has seen immense success in Europe—particularly in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France—with its residential energy storage systems (ESS), the company is now setting its sights on the United States.

"The United States is a totally different market," noted a Marstek spokesperson during the event. "In Europe, our balcony solar and energy storage systems are top sellers, but for the U.S., we are introducing products specifically designed for housing needs and grid reliability issues."

A primary highlight for the 2026 lineup is a new range of Apollo Power Stations. These units are specifically engineered for markets like Ukraine, Southeast Asia, and parts of the U.S., where "the power goes out from time to time."

Small Size, Big Value: The Apollo Power Station

The centerpiece of the 2026 collection is a new, ultra-compact power station that maintains high capacity while significantly reducing the physical footprint. When compared to previous models with similar capacities (roughly 2kWh), the new 2026 unit is "much, much smaller."

The real disruptor, however, is the price point. While official MSRPs are still being finalized, Marstek representatives hinted at a target range of $300 to $400 USD.

"The most important thing for this product is the price," the spokesperson explained. "It is a really good price—way affordable compared to anything else in the market right now. We want to ensure that even families in areas with lack of electricity can afford a reliable backup."

Expanding the "Modern Battery" Ecosystem

Beyond large-scale power stations, Marstek is redefining smaller-scale energy with its "Modern Battery. Infinite Power." campaign. This includes:

  • USB-C Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries: Moving away from disposable alkaline batteries, Marstek's new AA and AAA cells feature integrated USB-C ports, 1.5V stable output, and up to 1,500 cycles.
  • P326D/P327D Smart Power Banks: These IPX7 waterproof devices feature vivid TFT displays for real-time monitoring of battery health and output, catering to hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
  • V500 Solar Generator: A 500W/2kWh waterproof unit designed for true "plug-and-play" energy during outdoor adventures or emergency backups.

Looking Toward CES 2027

Marstek's momentum shows no signs of slowing. When asked about their roadmap for next year, the company teased further innovations in high-density cells and even more integrated home energy ecosystems.

As energy costs rise and grid stability becomes a global concern, Marstek's focus on the "evergreen consumer"—those seeking reliable, non-complex, and affordable power—positions them as a brand to watch. By blending high-tech features like TFT displays and LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) safety with aggressive pricing, they are proving that the future of energy doesn't have to be a luxury.
