Xtra has been steadily building a name in the creator hardware space with a growing lineup of compact, creator-focused cameras.

At present, Xtra has introduced several creator-focused imaging products, including the Xtra Muse gimbal camera, the Xtra Sphra360 360-degree camera, the Xtra Edge, and Edge Pro action cameras.

These products reflect Xtra's accumulated technical expertise and hands-on experience in portability, stabilization performance, and creator-friendly workflows.

With the upcoming launch of Xtra Atto, Xtra is expanding that lineup into the wearable camera category, targeting creators who want hands-free filming while maintaining premium image quality and extended battery life.

Designed as an ultra-portable solution for daily filming, point-of-view content, and on-the-go storytelling, Xtra Atto is built to capture moments continuously and unobtrusively, whether creators are walking city streets, cycling routes, traveling, or documenting behind-the-scenes activity. Its wearable form factor enables creators to record unexpected, first-person angles—such as pet-mounted and chest-mounted POV shots, or hands-free footage captured during cycling, cooking, and travel adventures—while remaining lighter than traditional action cameras or handheld setups, and still delivering 4K/60fps video.

At its core, Xtra Atto combines professional-grade 4K capture with a thumb-sized body, dual onboard stabilization, and a modular ecosystem designed to keep filming effortless.

Key features include:

  • Ultra-light 54g (1.9oz) wearable design
  • 4K video recording at up to 60fps
  • Wide 143-degree POV-friendly field of view
  • Built-in dual stabilization modes
  • Modular Vision Dock with storage and battery expansion
  • Up to 220 minutes of total battery life

A Wearable Camera Built for Hands-Free Creation

Everyday content is rarely captured standing still. While smartphones remain the default filming tool, their size and constant handling can disrupt movement and limit creative angles, particularly during commuting, walking tours, or cycling vlogs.

To address these challenges, Xtra Atto is designed as a wearable camera that works continuously in the background. Weighing just 54g (1.9oz), Xtra Atto is lighter than a standard egg and can be mounted on caps, chest harnesses, backpacks, helmets, or even vehicles, without weighing creators down.

Its ultra-compact form factor makes first-person perspectives feel natural, while keeping hands free and attention on the moment rather than the camera.

Professional-Grade 4K in a Thumb-Sized Body

Despite its size, Xtra Atto delivers image quality typically associated with larger, more advanced action cameras. The camera features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor—a sensor size commonly used in professional and flagship action cameras—integrated into a thumb-sized body that remains wearable throughout the day.

Supporting 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second, Atto captures sharp detail and smooth motion, while its 143-degree wide field of view ensures more of the surrounding environment fits naturally into each frame.

This makes it especially effective for immersive POV footage, city exploration, hiking trails, and everyday recording scenarios where both context and visual clarity matter.

By combining a large sensor with a compact design, Xtra Atto enhances low-light performance, dynamic range, and image clarity in areas that are often compromised in mini 4K cameras.

Built-In Stabilization for Movement-Heavy Shooting

Hands-free filming introduces movement by nature, which is why stabilization plays a central role in Atto's design. To ensure usable footage without external accessories, the camera includes two onboard stabilization modes optimized for creator workflows.

MotionMaster is designed to reduce visible shake during dynamic movement. It is suited for activities such as walking through busy streets, cycling, or capturing behind-the-scenes footage where motion is constant.

TiltGuard, on the other hand, focuses on real-time horizon leveling. This mode helps keep footage visually balanced when the camera is mounted at an angle, such as on a chest mount or cap, and supports both 1080p and 4K (16:9) recording.

While electronic stabilization is not available in slow-motion or timelapse modes, the emphasis remains on real-time, wearable filming where stability is most critical. Together, these modes reduce reliance on external gimbals or heavy post-processing.

Modular Vision Dock and Expanded Shooting Flexibility

Further enhancing convenience, Xtra Atto's modular design extends beyond the camera itself. The system is supported by the Multifunctional Vision Dock, which serves as a charging base, remote controller, and storage expansion hub.

The camera includes 128GB of built-in storage, with approximately 107.6GB available for recording. When paired with the Vision Dock, users can expand storage via microSD cards up to 1TB, enabling longer recording sessions with fewer interruptions.

The dock also enhances durability. While the camera body alone is waterproof up to 10 meters, the combined system offers IPX4 splash resistance, making it suitable for light rain and everyday outdoor use.

Battery Life Designed for Real-World Use

Battery performance remains a key concern for wearable cameras, especially during extended outdoor filming. Used on its own, Xtra Atto offers up to 90 minutes of continuous recording, which outlasts many comparable ultra-compact cameras.

Paired with the Vision Dock, total usage time extends to up to 220 minutes, approaching all-day shooting for scenarios like cycling tours, long walks, or travel documentation. This extended battery life helps reduce battery anxiety and reinforces Atto's role as a practical, always-ready filming tool.

Charging is also designed to be efficient. The camera reaches a full charge in approximately 40 minutes when placed in the dock, while the complete system can be charged in around 50 minutes using an external power source.

Faster Transfers and a Mobile-First Workflow

Xtra Atto is built around speed and efficiency from capture to publishing. For wired transfers, the camera supports USB 3.1 speeds up to 600MB/s, enabling fast offloading to computers for editing. Wireless transfers use Wi-Fi 6, reaching speeds of up to 80MB/s, which is particularly useful for mobile creators working directly from their phones.

Additional smart features further streamline daily use. These include pre-recording of up to five minutes, gesture-based controls such as nod or tap activation, and seamless switching between portrait and landscape orientations, features tailored for creators publishing across multiple social platforms.

Availability and Launch Timing

According to Xtra, Xtra Atto is scheduled to launch on January 29, 2026, priced at $299.

As creator workflows continue to shift toward mobile, wearable, and hands-free filming, Xtra Atto positions itself as a compact yet capable alternative to smartphones and bulkier action cameras.

By combining professional-grade imaging, extended battery life, and a modular ecosystem in a wearable form factor, Atto aims to serve as a primary tool for everyday visual storytelling rather than a niche accessory.
