An insider has claimed that new "Ghost Recon" game may be releasing sooner than later from Ubisoft.
This comes after it was confirmed that Ubisoft is releasing the remake of a much-loved "Assassin's Creed" game.
Ubisoft: New 'Ghost Recon' Is Coming, Says Insider
According to insider Tom Henderson, a new "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" game is on its way and is slated to arrive sooner than expected.
Henderson claims this new "Ghost Recon" game is the next major release of the French gaming company after the arrival of "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's" remake.
If the rumor from Henderson turns out to be true, then this new "Ghost Recon" game will be available sometime after July 9, following the release of the remake game from Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed" IP.
Last year, rumors about a new "Ghost Recon" game surfaced in the industry, with the claims citing that it is expected to arrive this year. According to ComicBook Gaming, Ubisoft later confirmed the existence of this new project under the "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" franchise but did not share any information about it.
As of writing, there is still no official information about this project from Ubisoft, as well as any kind of teaser or trailer.
What to Expect From the New 'Ghost Recon' Game?
Henderson did not reveal anything more about this new title, with the game remaining nameless and without a specific release date. Based only on speculations, the game is expected to arrive later than the rumored July 9 release date of "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced."
It is important to note that "Ghost Recon: Breakpoint," the last entry in the series, was released by Ubisoft in 2019, which is already seven years ago, with the game seeing negative reviews and a poor public reception.
2017's "Ghost Recon Wildlands" was widely considered the better game by fans.
That said, one of the rumors about this "Ghost Recon" game is that Ubisoft would use the latest Unreal Engine 5, but that remains largely unconfirmed by the company.
