Ever since Capcom revealed Street Fighter V would be a PlayStation 4 console exclusive, gamers have been wondering when they might be able to get their hands on the latest installment in the storied fighting game franchise.

If a recent blog post from Capcom is to be believed, it's still going to a while. Capcom (possibly unintentionally) seems to have revealed that Street Fighter V will see a spring 2016 release date.

We say "seems to have revealed" because the methods are a little unconventional. The news comes in a blog post about Capcom merchandise on sale at the PAX East gaming convention in Boston.

"Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter V coming to the PS4 and PC next Spring," the blog post reads. "Until then, you can sport the official SFV key art T-shirt, which features Ryu in a heroic pose, for $25."

So far the blog post is still live and hasn't been modified. Perhaps whoever is writing the copy for the blog post just let it slip. Or maybe Capcom just doesn't care. Either way, it's good to know when we can expect to see the franchise's next installment. The game was unveiled last year at Sony's PlayStation Experience. So far only a few characters have been confirmed for the game, including Ryu and Chun-Li, with Charlie from Street Fighter Alpha also set to make an appearance. Series villain M. Bison is also being teased.

You can check out the trailer for Charlie below, and expect to see Street Fighter V sometime in spring 2016. For more Street Fighter goodness, be sure to check out this round-up of the best real-life car demolishing bonus stages.
