Executive producer of The Flash, Andrew Kreisberg, said a few things at the PaleyFest panels in Los Angeles that makes us believe the showrunners are planning to bring the Flashpoint storyline into the mix.

During a question and answer session, a fan asked Kreisberg if the writers plan to go deeper into the DC Comics lore, and to this, he answered saying, "There's a fairly big Flash storyline from the comics that were going to tackle in the future."

If we had to guess, Kreisberg could be talking about the popular Flashpoint storyline that saw The Flash going back in time to save his mother. As the story goes, he achieved this, but only to find out that he changed the future all for the worst.

The Amazons and the Atlantians, led by Wonder Woman and Aquaman respectively, are at war, and Batman is a completely different person. Apparently, when the robber attacked Thomas and Martha Wayne that faithful night, it was Bruce who died and not his parents.

Thomas turned into the Batman, but unlike Bruce, he prefers to use guns and have no problem killing people. Martha Wayne on the other hand, turned into The Joker while Superman never came to be.

You see, Kal-El spaceship came to earth, but did not land on the Kent farm. Instead, he was taken by the government who kept him underground for around 30-years.

When it comes down to Barry Allen in this new world, he has no powers, and so he sought out Batman and came up with a plan to regain his powers. Obviously, the Reverse Flash is around and even more deadly.

Should the Flashpoint storyline be brought into play in the future, we can only wonder how the writers plan to allow things to play out. We suspect Oliver will be a complete different person, even if he is still the Arrow.
