Hawkgirl is coming to the Arrow and The Flash spin-off series, ladies and gentlemen. The CW recently cast Ciara Renée, an actress who only began her career in 2013, to bring the character to life.

Hawkgirl is one of the most notable DC superheroes. She plays a huge role in the Justice League, especially in the Cartoon Network TV series from many years ago. Her real name is Kendra Saunders, a woman who committed suicide for reasons we cannot answer.

After the soul of Kendra exits the body, the soul of the original Hawkgirl, Shiera Hall, enters the body. Shiera has no idea who she is after entering this new body, and she manages to adopt the memories of Kendra.

Kendra's grandfather, Speed Saunders, is the one who recognizes the change in his granddaughter due to the sudden transformation of her eye color. He tells her to accept the new changes in herself and become the new Hawkgirl. She accepts and chooses to wear the costume that belongs to the original Hawkgirl. She also chooses to use the iconic Mace as her main weapon.

According to Deadline, the spin-off series on The CW might bring forth a different origin for Kendra. In this show, she is a young woman who finds that she has been reincarnated several times in the past. After being provoked by an unknown person, the powers of Hawkgirl manifest and wings began to protrude from her back.

The new spin-off series is rumored to include the likes of the ATOM, Firestorm, Heat Wave, Black Canary and Captain Cold. Rumors also claim two other heroes are also set to be announced in the coming weeks or months. We understand that these heroes include someone who is snarky and capable of traveling through time. From all indications, this person sounds like Booster Gold.

The other hero in question is an African-American who gets his powers due to an accident. At first, we thought it could be Black Lightning, but he was born with powers. So, chances are this hero is no other than Static Shock.
