In terms of exclusives, it's hard to get bigger than the Uncharted franchise. Microsoft may have Halo, but the Uncharted series has come to define Sony's PlayStation 3 — each game is bigger and better than the last, and the story of Nathan Drake managed to fill an Indiana Jones-sized hole in many a gamer's library.

Uncharted was the purest example of what an "Action-Adventure" game could be, and absolutely no one was surprised when Sony announced that it was bringing the franchise to its next generation of consoles.

What did come as a surprise was Uncharted 4's delay — the team over at Naughty Dog announced that the game would be held back until 2016 to ensure that it was the best it could be. While it's perfectly understandable for the team to delay the game, Uncharted 4 was the biggest PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2015 — without it, Sony's release schedule doesn't have much in the way of PS4-only titles.

But if a recent listing is to be believed, the publisher may have found a way around the delay. After all, if Uncharted 4 isn't done yet, why not just re-release the original games on the PlayStation 4?

A listing for Uncharted: The Remastered Trilogy just appeared in the Swedish store CeDe, and it took the Internet by storm. PlayStation owners have been clamoring for an updated version of the trilogy ever since the PS4 first hit store shelves, though Naughty Dog refused to confirm that such a collection was in development.

The listing reported that the collection was due to hit sometime this September, which would have essentially replaced the now-delayed Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

There are, however, numerous signs that the listing was actually just a fake. The box art above, used in the listing, was actually created by a fan over a year ago: James Walker originally created it as part of a fan-made box art collection series. From the looks of things, CeDe (or whoever produced the listing) simply lifted the artwork from Walker's page.

On top of that, the link has already been removed — which is never a good sign when it comes to such a listing's credibility. While there is a chance that Uncharted: The Remastered Trilogy is actually real and its store page simply went live early, the removal of the listing and the stolen fan art point to a game that doesn't actually exist.

Is Naughty Dog making an Uncharted collection for PlayStation 4? There's really no way to tell — while the fan demand is definitely there, it's far more likely that Naughty Dog is focusing on finishing Uncharted 4. After all, if they had the power to produce an updated collection of the Uncharted trilogy, why would they have to delay Uncharted 4 ?

As it stands, fans of the franchise will have to wait for the series' next proper installment: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is set for release in early 2016.
