Professional wrestler and actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a walking mass of muscle, and he recently revealed one factor that contributes to him looking every bit of a bodybuilder: his diet.

Johnson told Muscle and Fitness what is in his seven meals per day, which may be the secret to his muscular body, and it involves eating as much food as the average Grizzly bear that prepares for hibernation. The caloric intake of The Rock consists of 10 pounds of food every day.

So, what exactly is in this man's diet? His meals include plenty of cod. For comparison's sake, data from the USDA show that the average male of the same age as The Rock consumes 2,735 calories per day. Johnson, on the other hand, consumes about 1,000 calories per day from cod alone or about 821 pounds of cod annually.

It also appears that Johnson's cod-rich diet does not come cheap either. Pacific cod costs $1.75 per pound, which means that The Fast and the Furious star spends about $1,400 on cod per year.

The 42-year-old actor's diet includes pounds of animal protein essential to maintaining his immense bulk. Besides consuming 2.3 pounds of cod per day, Johnson also gobbles up 12 eggs, two potatoes, six cups of rice, 4 cups of vegetables and two salads. Johnson also admits consuming 32 ounces of Gatorade, a tablespoon of omega-3 fish oil and 30 grams of casein protein.

An average male in his 40s eats almost the same amount of fat as Johnson does per day, but the ratio of macronutrient is different. The average man, for instance, consumes about 3 grams of carbohydrates and a gram of protein for each gram of fat, but the actor consumes over 5 grams of carbohydrates and 4 grams of protein for each gram of fat that he eats.

Besides his not-so-typical diet, Johnson is also different from the average guy of his age because he spends a lot of his time each day exercising. He works out for more than two hours each day, and this is likely another reason why he's far more muscular than the typical guy.
