Actor Jamie Costa, best known as one hell of an impersonator of the stars to his more than 243,000 Vine followers, has posted on YouTube his most epic work to date: a video montage of no less than 20 impressions of Robin Williams.
The two-minute video, which was posted on YouTube on Monday, features Costa doing impressions of the celebrated comedian's most memorable movie roles. Costa is seen impersonating Daniel Hillard as Mrs. Doubtfire, Mork from Mork and Mindy, Teddy Roosevelt from Night at the Museum, and DJ Adrian Cronauer from Good Morning, Vietnam.
Somewhere along the reel, Costa also included impressions of Alan Parrish from Jumanji, Batty Koda from Fern Gully, Professor Philip Brainard from Flubber, Popeye in the 1980 film of the same title, Genie from Disney's Aladdin, and Sean Maguire from Good Will Hunting, for which Williams took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998.
Costa calls the montage "Never Had a Friend Like Him," as a reference to the song "Friend Like Me" featured in Aladdin. The Vine star, now also a YouTube star, says the montage is his own "tribute to the man whose spark ignited my passion." Williams was 63 when he died of suicide in 2014.
Within only two days after it was posted, Costa's video has garnered more than 739,000 views and more than 10,000 likes and has earned for the actor an interview with Insider on CBS on Tuesday night.
"Dude, I saw this and was like, 'Whoa, you look exactly like Robin Williams," said one of the commenters on Costa's YouTube video. "I watched your other videos and was like, 'Whoa, you look like Gandalf, Indiana Jones, and Matthew McConaughey!' You must get so many free drinks at bars."
Costa describes himself as an actor, filmmaker, "and some other things" on his Vine page. On IMDb, a short biography of Costa says he starred in a number of viral YouTube videos, such as the "Chalk Warfare" series and the fan film "Wolverine," both of which have gathered more than 3 million views. The only feature film to his credit is the comedy Heaven Bound by director Gabe McCauley.
Costa's other Hollywood impressions that have left an impression include those of Owen Wilson, Indiana Jones, James Bond (as played by Roger Moore), Russell Crowe, and Michael Caine.
