Leaked documents of Sony are found to possibly contain images of the upcoming latest addition to the company's Xperia line: the Xperia Z4.

WikiLeaks, a non-profit organization established back in 2006 that looks to disclose secret and highly sensitive documents, yesterday released a massive database of internal documents of Sony, which includes e-mail messages, presentations, and spreadsheets, among others.

A recent entrant as a leaks provider, @xperialeak was able to dive into the database and extract what seems to be an early internal render of the Xperia Z4. Esato was also able to extract renders of the Xperia Z4 from the leaked Sony documents.

Another leak source, @ViziLeaks, recently claimed that the Xperia Z4 will feature a new, all-metal construction for the upcoming device, which will also include a fingerprint scanner in a newly designed power button. The extracted internal renders of the Xperia Z4 look like they incorporate these details, and @ViziLeaks has confirmed that the images look very similar to what the Xperia Z4 will look like upon release.

The extracted internal renders reveal a device with a metal frame, with one image also featuring what appears to be a metal back. The power key also looks like it has undergone a redesign, now looking big enough to possibly incorporate a fingerprint scanner. Words that appear in the extracted images include "simplicity," "seamless," and "solid," which suggest the overall look and feel that the Xperia Z4 is going for.

Other rendered images of the Xperia Z4 reveal that Sony may use a 2.5D glass for the device's display similar to the iPhone 6, and some also refer to a "MONO/New UI" that could mean that Sony is looking to finally overhaul its outdated user interface for the Xperia Z4.

All these extracted images do not necessarily mean confirmations, though, as they could all just be proposals or images from early on in the design process.

The Xperia Z4 is expected to make its official debut some time in September, which will be just in time for the IFA 2015 in Berlin. However, there are rumors that the Xperia Z4 will be released much sooner than that.

It has been rumored that the Xperia Z4 will be released to the Japanese market as soon as April 20, which follows the recent disappearance of its predecessor, the Xperia Z3, from the website of T-Mobile, despite being released to the market for only six months.
