From Software has fixed a year-old bug that had been causing weapons to degrade too quickly on PC versions of Dark Souls 2 and is preparing to release the patch in an update. The weapons fix will be accompanied by a host of other patches across all current generation platforms.

Those playing the game at 60 frames per second have been getting gameplay twice as smooth as the last gen standard on consoles, 30 fps. Oddly, the rate at which weapons degraded was twice as fast when the game's frame rate was twice as smooth.

The upcoming patch will ensure that those who play Dark Souls 2 at 60 fps or higher won't see their weapons degrade twice as fast as those who play at 30 fps.

Here's a rundown of the fixes due for release in the upcoming update:

On Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam (DirectX 9), Steam (DirectX 11):

○  Fixed a problem with weapon durability associated with frame rate, along with problems degradation issue that arise when attacking enemy corpses and friendlies. Fixed problems with controller button combos.
