Now that it's been a month since the last Assassin's Creed game, it's about time we heard word of a new one.

The next game in the popular series will be called Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, and Ubisoft is set to take the wraps off of the game on May 12.

Ubisoft will unveil the game via a live stream; however, a few days ahead of the unveiling, small details about the game have been released. The game will reportedly have its main focus in London during the industrial revolution, and the name of the new assassin in the game is Jacob Frye.

Not only that, but gamers who pre-order the game at GameStop will receive an Assassin's Creed necklace identical to the one worn by the main character in the game.

The U.S. website of Ubisoft also revealed today pictures of brass knuckles along with phrases like "God Save the Queen" and "Strength Through Loyalty."

Previously the game was reported to be called Assassin's Creed: Victory, however that name has reportedly since changed.

While the game is highly anticipated by some, others suggest that the game series is getting a little burnt out, releasing titles quite close together, to a point that some gamers don't even have time to finish one game before the next in the series is released. Despite this, the series has gained a very loyal following.

Some even suggest that the series is trying to emulate the success that the Call of Duty series has had with yearly releases; however, the suggestion is that Assassin's Creed is not able to emulate Call of Duty's model very well. There are a number of reasons for this, with the main one being that the developers behind Call of Duty have a formula down that is easy to replicate within the series. Not only that, but Call of Duty games only take around five or six hours to complete in campaign mode, along with a challenge mode that is often put in place in the games. After that, users are able to play as much or as little as they want, often with their friends.

Assassin's Creed, however, has a campaign mode that lasts as much as 20 or more hours, demanding the attention of the gamer for much longer periods of time.

Only time will tell if the new Assassin's Creed game proves to be as popular as the others in the series; however, the series certainly has the potential to live on for a very long time.
