T-Mobile announced that customers who purchase a qualifying Samsung Galaxy device along with a tablet will receive a T-Mobile Prepaid MasterCard valued at $100. The new gimmick is aimed at enticing customers to buy a pair of flagship devices from Samsung which they need to have upgraded or activated with the company's postpaid plan.

The promo is set to kick off on May 13 although T-Mobile has yet to make an official announcement.

There are at least six Galaxy handsets that will qualify a customer to receive the rebate. These include the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6. As for the tablets, the accepted models include the Galaxy Tab 4 and the Galaxy Tab S.

Customers can purchase their smartphone and tablet devices either on the same day or on two separate dates. However, both devices should be purchased under T-Mobile's EIP (equipment installment plan). When purchasing the devices on separate dates, the customer has to make sure that his second purchase is made within 30 days upon purchasing the first device. Likewise, the second purchased device has to be upgraded or activated under the T-Mobile's postpaid rate plan.

There's no information however on whether the customer should purchase a smartphone first prior to purchasing a tablet or vice versa. It's also worth noting that there could be customers who are interested in purchasing a pair of Galaxy smartphones such as the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge which are Samsung's latest flagship devices. Both devices were launched by the company on April 10 and are now available in 20 countries including the U.S. and the U.K.

The postpaid plan that can be activated after customers have purchased their Samsung devices could include the "Best Tablet Plan in Wireless" or match your phone data tablet plan. Both Samsung devices should be under an active postpaid plan and that payments should be up to date when the company's $100 rebate offer is processed in order for the customer to receive his Prepaid MasterCard.

The customers, after meeting the promo's criteria, can then send their receipts through mail and expect to get back their prepaid card within 8 weeks after the receipt of their purchased second device is accepted.

The promo is available for a limited time period, according to T-Mobile.
