In the Legends of Tomorrow TV series, Caity Lotz is returning as the White Canary. She was first the Black Canary on Arrow until she was killed, but she's back and ready for action.

The Legends of Tomorrow trailer shows Caity Lotz, whose character, Sara Lance, is being brought back to life via the Lazarus Pit. We're suspecting Nyssa al-Ghul asked the new Ra's al-Ghul for a favor in bringing her beloved back from the grave and to the land of the living.

Obviously, returning only to find her sister now bearing the Black Canary name means she will likely come up with the White Canary name in a bid to continue fighting crime and saving the world at the same time.

This version of the White Canary differs a lot from the original, so let us find out what the comics have to say.

Who is the White Canary:

The real name of White Canary at this point is unknown, but we know that she was born in Xi'An, Shaanix, China, to a Chinese family. Her father's name is Si Fu and she has 12 brothers, all of whom are members of the 12 Brothers of the Silk. All members, including White Canary, were trained in the art of Martial Arts, so they are capable warriors, more so than some.

Interestingly enough, the White Canary is the enemy of the Black Canary, and several times in the past, the White Canary and her brothers have attempted to kill the Black Canary.

Since the White Canary was trained by the 12 Brothers of the Silk, like them, she doesn't consume alcohol, nor does she take part in intimate relationships. It is all about the fighting and having honor.

We're sure the version in Legends of Tomorrow will be entirely different in comparison to her comic book counterpart, but that is fine. We only wish she was Chinese because we believe in these shows living up to the characters in the comics as much as possible.
