We all have our favorite shows that we can't help but share their awesomeness to the social media world. As proud fans of these shows, we might find it interesting to see which ones actually made an impact online.

Most of us share our love for our favorite shows via Facebook, but Twitter still ranks as the best avenue to share our quick thoughts and updates on our beloved series, thanks to Nielsen Social for listing the most Tweeted TV shows from 2014 to 2015.

Nielsen Social has been tirelessly tracking all that digital back-and-forth on Twitter from Sept. 1, 2014 to May 24, 2015. It's exciting to find out which shows actually made a splash on the social media front and which ones need to up their game to catch viewers' attention and following.

Though The Walking Dead has been around for some time now, audiences still can't get enough of the drama, thrills and frills of the zombie series, making it the number one tweeted show. This proves that zombies still rule TV and the Twitter universe.

The Walking Dead season 5 premiere on Oct. 12, 2014 had 1.3 million tweets and reached an audience of 7.4 million users.

On the other hand, Nielsen data gathered that, from Sept. 1, 2014 to May 24, 2015, the Super Bowl was in fact the biggest sports event of the year not just on TV but also on the social media front. There were more than 25 million tweets about the game, which reached an audience of about 16.1 million fans.

With regard to awards shows, the Grammy Awards outdid the Oscars on Twitter when 13.4 million tweets reached an audience of 13.3 million users, truly making sweet music in the Twitterverse. Other awards shows that fared well were the Golden Globes, garnering 10.4 million tweets; American Music Awards, 10.3 million tweets; and Billboard Music Awards, 9.8 million tweets.

Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special proved that—with an audience of 9.1 million viewers and 1.3 million total tweets—it has become the TV show with the most impressions since 2013, when Nielsen started measuring Twitter audience behavior.

Here's a quick rundown of Nielsen's findings:
