John Legere, the dynamic CEO of T-Mobile, tweeted out an announcement that the company is extending its Never Settle for Verizon promotion until June 27.

The promotion, which was initially set to end by the end of last month, allowed Verizon customers to borrow a phone with the T-Mobile brand to try out the company's services for a period as long as two weeks.

The promotion is a play on Verizon's Never Settle marketing campaign, wherein the carrier has spent millions in investments. In T-Mobile's Never Settle for Verizon campaign, the Un-carrier makes several claims against Verizon, stating that Verizon overcharges its subscribers along with offering them an LTE network at lower speeds compared to what T-Mobile is able to provide.

In addition, T-Mobile states that Verizon forces customers to agree to service contracts that last for two years, offers limited provisions for data and requires customers to wait for phone upgrades, all of which are things that T-Mobile does not do.

After Verizon customers take up T-Mobile's offer and use a phone from the Un-carrier for two weeks, the customers can choose to remain with Verizon or switch to T-Mobile. If the customer chooses to remain with Verizon, he will have to return the T-Mobile device and will not have to pay anything. If his service in Verizon was discontinued due to the promotion, T-Mobile will pay the charges needed to resume the service with Verizon.

However, if the customer decides to switch to T-Mobile, the Verizon phone will be returned and the customer can proceed with selecting a plan and accompanying device from T-Mobile. T-Mobile will reimburse the customer by as much as a sum of $650 for each line discontinued with Verizon for equipment balances or for early termination fees of two-year contracts.

There was some controversy from T-Mobile's spending of $200,000 to put the hashtag of #NeverSettleforVerizon in the top spot in Twitter's trending tweets, with some fans of Verizon speaking up against the stunt. However, Legere decided to continue with the promotion, and now has even extended it to allow for more Verizon customers to try out T-Mobile's services.

Verizon customers now have until June 27 to take up T-Mobile's offer and begin the trial period. Statistics regarding the promotion have not yet been revealed though, with the number of Verizon customers deciding to switch to T-Mobile a defining factor of the success of the company's Never Settle for Verizon campaign.
