Ethan Hunt has got his work cut out for him. That's more than clear from the looks of the second official trailer for Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation, the latest installment of the Mission Impossible franchise.

As Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, is seen apparently readying himself to leap off the side of a building, his partner, played by Rebecca Ferguson, tells him the impossible task ahead of him:

"You have to get through 12 feet of concrete and 70 thousand gallons of pressurized water. Without any metal."

"No oxygen?" Hunt asks her.

Of course not. And that's why they give him the impossible missions, right?

The trailer also shows us glimpses of the other players in the team: Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Simon McBurney. All of their characters play a crucial role in helping Ethan Hunt make possible all the death-defying stunts he has to pull off to finish their mission.

But even though he survived death, yet again, it seems that Alec Baldwin's character – the head of the CIA – is out to get Hunt back in Washington. As he stands before a panel, Baldwin's character declares that it is time to dissolve the IMF team for good.

But, naturally, our good guys won't stand for that! Even though they are called a "rouge organization" and a "disgrace," they keep on doing what they are good at in order to track down the baddies and get the job done — even if that means driving through a car chase just two minutes after drowning.

Screeching tires, explosives and a chase all around the world — all to find out who is behind the Syndicate. The so-called Rogue Nation is an anti-IMF organization with people trained exactly the way they were and is "coming after [them] with everything they've got."

The new Mission Impossible's screenplay was written by Will Staples and Drew Pearce, and is directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Expect to enjoy the ride in 2D and IMAX theaters this July 31.
