Earlier this week, we got our first look at the first real hoverboard, built by Lexus. This hoverboard wasn't just a concept like others promised before it — no, this hoverboard is actually rideable.

Now, we've all wanted a hoverboard since we first saw it introduced as a concept in the Back to the Future movies. So, this is pretty exciting news, right?

However, the details Lexus released about the hoverboard still made it seem unrealistic: it uses "magnetic levitation" to hover just above a surface. That means that the board needs some sort of magnetized environment or track to work.

In other words, you can't just take the hoverboard out to the closest sidewalk, hop on and expect it do much of anything. Of course, the local skatepark doesn't have the equipment to make your hoverboard work either.

Fortunately, Lexus thought of that, and now, a Spanish website recently uncovered what is probably the first hoverboard park in Spain.

El Patin captured photos of this skatepark near Barcelona that clearly show a metal (and probably magnetized) track running through it, going through loops, down stairs and all the other cool things that we'd want to do with a hoverboard. Construction on the park started about a month ago, and apparently, it's highly secretive with 24-hour security keeping an eye on it.

So, how do we know this is something built by Lexus? Well, Lexus told Gizmodo that it's testing the hoverboard in Barcelona. At this point, it's sort of a no-brainer to figure out who owns that fancy new hoverboard park.

Of course, there's no way of knowing if this track is for public use or just some sort of conceptual thing Lexus plans on using for testing its hoverboard (or at least capturing it in some advertising).

Needless to say, whatever the park's purpose, it's sure to make Marty McFly super proud. It could serve as a template for similar skateparks all over the world. Let's face it: hoverboarding is probably the next big trend and is probably even a contender for the next X-Games sport.

Welcome to the future.
