Walmart has released some interesting smartphone deals to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day, and users that are looking to acquire a new smartphone at cheaper prices should think about taking up Walmart's offer in one of these devices.

Straight Talk Apple iPhone 5S 4G LTE 16GB Prepaid Smartphone - $499

Walmart customers can purchase a 16GB iPhone 5S under the Straight Talk prepaid service for only $499, resulting in savings of $150 from the original price of $649.

While the iPhone 5S is not outdated with the release of the iPhone 6, and to be further pushed back with the impending release of the iPhone 6S within the year, the smartphone is still a very capable one in the industry's standards.

The device packs the A7 chip and features a 4-inch, multi-touch Retina display. The smartphone also has an 8MP iSight camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording.

Walmart, however only has the gold and silver color options in stock.

While the Galaxy S4 is further removed from the current generation Galaxy S6 compared to the iPhone 5S from the iPhone 6, the smartphone can still provide most users with what they need from a smartphone.
