A newly released trailer by Wolf Brew Games for its upcoming hack-and-slash action platform game Slain! revealed that the title will also be released for the Nintendo Wii U and PlayStation Vita, in addition to the previously confirmed PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The trailer reveals that the video game is a very gory one. For example, when the character is squashed by walls, what results is a massive pool of blood complete with minced bones.

The Nintendo Wii U, in particular, does not look like it has any notable gory games released for it yet, and Slain! will be occupying that list for the console. Compared to typical platformers for Nintendo consoles, the gore levels in Slain! are certainly at least one step up from the usual.

Slain!, however, will still be making use of the functionality of the Wii U's unique GamePad. Video game website Siliconera acquired information that the video game will likely have a map of the entire level along with a special method to utilize mana and change weapons using the touchscreen of the Wii U's GamePad.

Siliconera also was able to watch a video of the ice axe, a weapon which was lately added to the title. While the video was not released for all to see, the weapon as reported by the website is exactly what gamers would think of according to its name. However, it comes with the added ability of having its blade morph into a head of a snarling wolf on its final strike.

In addition to the new information regarding the consoles where the title will be released, Wolf Brew Games also revealed that the game has a new musician. The new musician for Slain! is Curt Victor Bryant, a former bassist of Celtic Frost, which is a Swiss black metal band, and he will be recoding the full soundtrack of the game.

According to the Steam page of Slain!, the game will be released this fall for the PC and for consoles, early next year.

In Slain!, players will be taking control of a character named Bathoryn, a hero from a Gothic world that seeks to free seven great towers that have been taken over by seven overlords.

Players must guide Bathoryn as he battles his way through enemy-infested lands before entering each tower, going through traps, solving puzzles and defeating monsters along the way. At the heart of every tower, Bathoryn will encounter one of the overlords he must defeat.
