Those rumors really had legs to them.

Rumored reports about The Undertaker making his return to the WWE at its Battleground pay per view came true Sunday night (July 19), when the Dead Man interfered in Brock Lesnar's match against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Suplex City meets Tombstone City.

Brock had Rollins defeated after delivering the F5 in the center of the ring. The referee dropped down to the mat to register the one count, but before his hand could slap the canvas for two, the Scottrade Center in St. Louis went pitch black.

The Dead Man's signature bells tolled, throwing the capacity crowd into mass hysteria, and when the lights turned back on, the Undertaker was standing in the ring, staring a hole into the eyes of a shocked Lesnar for several bone-chilling seconds.

This marked the first time that the two were face-to-face since Brock upset the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30, snapping his undefeated streak. Well, with Brock in his sights, the Undertaker went for a chokeslam, but Lesnar reversed the move and hoisted Taker for an F5. The Undertaker wiggled out of the finisher and delivered a low-blow kick, causing Lesnar to crash down hard on the canvas, writhing in pain.

The Dead Man then delivered the Tombstone, officially ending the Lesnar vs. Rollins' match via a no-contest and laying the groundwork for what could be a Brock vs. Undertaker Summerslam showdown. It's amazing that, even after all these years, an Undertaker return never gets old and always seems to thrill the WWE Universe every single time.
