Apple just released the iOS 8.4.1 software update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Although the update is relatively minor, it has been causing trouble for many users, such as battery drain, Wi-Fi issues, difficulty with mail, freezing and continued problems with Apple music.

One of the main goals of the iOS 8.4.1 update was to fix various issues occurring with Apple Music. Following the update, users should now be able to turn on their iCloud Music Library and view recently added music. But some users are now reporting that they are unable to pair their iTunes library via Bluetooth, and have lost some of their playlists. If you're experiencing the playlist issue, try deleting and re-adding the playlists and making them available offline, which solved the problem for some users.

Another issue being reported involves battery drain. One user complained about having "great battery life on my 6+ before the update. Now my battery drains incredibly fast say 100-0% in an hour with the same use as before the update when my phone would be above 20% at 12am. Please fix it Apple." Other users said their devices are taking longer to fully charge.

Some users are having problems with their Wi-Fi connectivity after upgrading to iOS 8.4.1.

"I just updated my iPod touch 6 and my iPhone 5s and now the Wi-Fi isn't working on either of them and I tried resetting the network and forgetting the network and neither of them work," complained one user. A suggested fix is to do a forced reboot of the device, while others have solved the issue by rebooting their routers.

Still other problems reported include phone freezing when attempting to text, call or retrieve messages, and emails not displaying properly. None of the problems currently appear to be widespread, but whether there are actually any additional software bugs or whether these are isolated issues related more to user devices and/or networks is not yet clear.

Have you upgraded your Apple device to iOS 8.4.1? If so, are you experiencing any of the problems listed above, or other issues? Please let us know in the comments below.
