All along, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has maintained that this Saturday night's bout against Andre Berto will be the 49th and final fight of his legendary boxing career.

Yet, his fans don't seem to be flocking to the box office to purchase tickets for the final opportunity to watch him in the ring. ESPN is reporting that, with just over four days until the bout, Ticketmaster still has more than 2,100 seats available at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas. That doesn't even include the countless tickets that are usually held by promoters.

The face value of tickets for the fight range from $125 to $1,5000 — well lower than prices for the Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao bout this past May, according to ESPN. StubHub spokesman Glenn Lehrman told ESPN that the average sale price ($799) for this Saturday night's bout is six times less than the average ticket sale price ($5,095) of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight.

Even MGM hotels are offering friendlier last-minute deals in hopes to spark some revenue circulating around the fight, which is shaping up to be a box-office bust at the live gate and possibly even with pay-per-view buys.

This could all be attributed to Berto having lost three of his last six bouts entering this fight and a healthy portion of boxing fans not believing that this is it for Mayweather and that the undefeated champion will return for a 50th fight. If Mayweather defeats Berto — as largely expected — an additional win would give him a 50-0 record, putting him over Rocky Marciano for boxing's all-time best mark.

Still, Mayweather and his team continue to insist that this will be his final time stepping between the ropes.

"This is 100 percent his last fight," Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe told ESPN on Tuesday.
