In an aim to match the "digital lifestyle" of its users as well as to attract more customers, Verizon has decided to add a fifth option to its existing Verizon Plan, which it has just introduced.

The company has revealed Sept. 9, through a blog shared over its website that it is now offering its new XXL plan which comes in 18GB of data for an amount of $100 every month. It said the new plan is dedicated to its customers who wanted "another, bigger data option."

"Customer response to our new plan has been exciting," stated Nancy Clark, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Verizon. "They've shared a lot of feedback, so we've listened to them and looked at what we've learned from three years of offering shared-data plans to offer options with the most value for them."

This means the Verizon Plan now consists of five choices for buying shareable data, which include the following: Small (offering 1GB of data for $30/month); Medium (offering 3GB of data for $45/month); Large (offering 6GB for $60/month); X-Large (offering 12GB of data for $80/month); as well as XX-Large (offering 18GB of data for $100/month).

Other reports point out the latest move of Verizon to sweeten its offers to its users is possibly a reaction of the carrier to the new data plans that AT&T released last August.

Based on reports, AT&T's top offerings include 15GB of shareable data for $100 per month as well as 20GB of shareable data for $140 per month. In comparison with the new data plans of AT&T, it seems that its new XXL plan does offer more shareable data for a similar price. However, AT&T still has the biggest GB offering to its customers to date.

Meanwhile, Verizon did say in the blog post that it is only offering its XXL plan for a limited time. It did not specify, however, how limited the offer is.

Additionally, each Verizon's plan option, according to the carrier, touts to offer unlimited talk and text.

It also added in the post that in next months, customers of Verizon will soon notice a simpler as well as more streamlined bill, which it said can make it easier as well as understand monthly charges.
