The team behind the 3Dsimo 3D drawing pen have released a new product called the 3Dsimo Mini.

The device is smaller than the original 3Dsimo, making it small enough to fit in the hand of the user. This is a good thing considering the fact that the original was a little too large to be called a "pen."

The device is still, however, to be used as a 3D drawing pen, and it features an adjustable temperature, making it ideal for use with a range of 3D printing materials. Once the user decides which material to use, however, it's really up to them what they want to draw.

Users connect their pen to the accompanying app through Bluetooth, which allows them to fine-tune the temperature of the pen depending on the material being used and the needs of the project. The app also has instructional videos and templates to help them make cool things with their device.

In the box, only the 3D printing tool will be available, however, the company behind the tool plans on offering at least three more tools at launch, including those for soldering, cutting and burning. According to the team, extra tips will cost around $15 each. Some users are even suggesting new tips of their own, which could be made depending on how much the campaign ends up raising.

At the time of this writing, the Kickstarter had reached $116,683, far more than its $35,000 goal.

Of course, it's important to mention that this is the second time that 3Dsimo has tried to fund the 3Dsimo mini, with the first campaign ending unsuccessfully.

3Dsimo works with Android, iOS and Windows, and an $89 pledge will get the user an early bird special on the pen, with pledges ranging up from there offering different tips and filaments.
