Fans of Fable might be a little ticked off at the fact that Lionhead Studios is working on Fable Legends instead of Fable 4. Well, they will be even more upset now that the studio has confirmed it will be working on Fable Legends for quite some time.

Yes, that's right, Fable 4 is a long way off because not even the studio itself knows what is going on with that game. It is all about Fable Legends now, and that should be very apparent due to the nature of the new game.

It is all about online multiplayer co-op, and usually these types of games require years of continuous support, especially if they become successful. Now, we're not saying Fable Legends is going to turn out to be a great title, but Lionhead is anticipating that.

"We're not working on a Fable 4, #FableLegends is our priority and will be for the foreseeable future. Thanks!" posted Lionhead Studios on Twitter.

As expected, this has not gone down well with fans of the franchise, which only means Lionhead has no choice but to make sure Fable Legends becomes a game that fans will enjoy.

So far, the game looks bland and barely resembles Fable at all. It is set in the same world, and the overall look definitely has a Fable feel, but everything else comes off as alien.

It doesn't matter what we think nor what the fans might think, Lionhead Studios is still calling this game Fable. When it comes down to Fable 4, there are still no plans that we know of to bring it into development.

As it stands now, it would appear as if fans have no choice but to give this free-to-play game a chance for the next year or two in hopes of Lionhead Studios making a decision to green-light Fable 4.
