The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in a pause, a lull between the end of Phase 2 (Ant-Man) and the beginning of Phase 3 (Captain America: Civil War). Phase 3 looks to be the biggest and most diverse era yet, but while you're waiting for it to begin is the perfect time to get caught up on Phase 2.
For that, you'll want to get your hands on the Blu-ray box set, the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection. This limited edition set includes Blu-ray and digital copies of all six films, five Marvel One-Shots, and umpteen behind-the-scenes features spread across 13 discs. The sleeves holding the discs feature original artwork by Matt Ferguson.
Also in the set are a selection of nifty collectible replicas, like a gold foil page from the book of Dark Elves (Thor: The Dark World), an ancient drawing from the Morag vault (Guardians of the Galaxy), uniform patches from the Avengers and S.T.R.I.K.E. (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Tony Stark's tattoo (Iron Man 3) and the pièce de résistance, a full-scale replica of the Power Stone Orb, as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy. The Phase 1 boxed set similarly included the Tesseract from The Avengers, aka the Space Stone.
The product listing also mentions an exclusive related to Phase 3. One of the behind-the-scenes features is a roundtable discussion with Marvel's filmmakers, who talk about what to expect from Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
The Phase 2 set is exclusively available at Amazon for $219.99. It'll be available on Dec. 8, but can be preordered now.
