From watching the trailers for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, it's abundantly clear why Bruce Wayne isn't exactly a fan of the Man of Steel. We've seen glimpses of Bruce being on the ground as Superman and Zod punch each other through buildings. Now thanks to the latest issue of Total Film we have more details about the opening moments of Batman v. Superman.

As many predicted, the opening moments of the film will be the end of Man of Steel, only told from Bruce Wayne's prospective. Via Comingsoon.net, star Henry Cavill had this to say in Total Film about the movie's prologue:

"What happens there is one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and he's trying to save all the people inside the building and he can't," Cavill says. "So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?"

Ben Affleck also chimes in on the source of Batman's anger towards Clark Kent.

"He's found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman," Affleck says. "So it's how he got there, and what that's done to him, and what that's done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It's something that's interesting and new."

Turns out Batman was trying to save all the people Superman couldn't be bothered to rescue. Man of Steel caught a lot of criticism from comic fans for how director Zack Snyder portrayed Superman as reckless and unwilling to go out of his way to save the innocent, so it's nice to see the issue is being address in Batman v. Superman. Superman's actions have consequences, and that consequence is a power-suit equipped Batman that isn't about to let the Man of Steel bring more destruction to Earth.
