When the latest and greatest gadgets come out, there's usually a mad rush to be one of the first ones to get them.

Google's newest Nexus devices, the Huawei-made Nexus 6P and the LG-made Nexus 5X, are no exception. The high-end Nexus 6P, in particular, is selling quite well.

The 6P is flying off Google Play store shelves so fast that some early buyers got some bad news in their inboxes from Google. Expecting their units to arrive on either the 27th and 28th of October, some customers will have to wait as long as early to mid-November to have their orders moved from "Pending" to "Shipping."

Some customers are sharing emails they've received from Google informing them that the shipment of their Nexus 6P's are being delayed. In the email, Google states:

"Thank you for buying a Nexus 6P from the Google Store. We're really excited about this phone and we hope you are too. But we have some not-so-great news: It's going to take a little longer to get the 6P to you than we would have liked. We're working hard to meet the strong demand we're seeing for the color and memory size you ordered, and we promise it will be worth it!"

How much is a two-week delay worth? Google has apparently calculated their customers' troubles for the delay at a cool $25.

"As a courtesy, we'll give you a $25 refund on your purchase, which we'll process soon after your phone ships," writes Google in one of their emails to a customer whose order was kept "pending."

Once a customer's device actually begins to ship, they'll notice a deduction of $25 from their credit card charges.

So, if you're one of the "lucky" customers who can wait an extra two weeks for their 6P, a 32 GB variant of the unit will now only cost $474, and a 64 GB version will come to a discounted total of $524. Fair enough.

It's not clear as to how many customers' orders will be delayed until mid-November. If a customer receives their unit sometime between the 27th and 28th, then lucky them. If another customer doesn't get a visit from their UPS guy with their order, it's best to assume their 6P will come next month instead. At least they'll get a discount on an already fantastic, bang for the buck high-end smartphone.
