Interested Australians can now preorder Google's Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The anticipated mobile devices will be available on Australian retailers' and carriers' shelves starting next week.

Consumers in the United States reported last week that their preordered Nexus 5X from LG and the Nexus 6P from Huawei have alreadybeen shipped. Posts on social media portals such as Reddit and Twitter claim that their credit cards have already been charged with the purchase and that they have already received an email containing tracking numbers for their respective shipments.

Google followed up the reported developments in the U.S. by opening its Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P preorder trunk lines for the land Down Under. Starting Monday, October 26, Australian consumers can have a 5X or 6P listed under their names by preordering from Google Play store.

It is yet unclear when the devices will ship out. However, a good bet would fall on any date within this week since both devices will hit the retailers' and carriers' inventories on Nov. 3, Tuesday.

Retailers, such as Harvery Norman and JB Hi-Fi, will offer the Nexus 5X, which packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 quad-core SoC (Socket on Chip), 2 GB of RAM, optional 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage, 12.3-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing one, 2700 mAh battery and a USB Type-C reversible connector, for the same price of 659 AUD as listed on the Google Play store.

The Nexus 6P, which comes with a 5.7-inch 1440p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core chip, 3 GB of RAM, the optional 32 GB or 64 GB internal storage, a highly-rated 12.3-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper, 3450 mAh battery and a Type-C reversible connector, will be put on the shelves for 999 AUD.

Moreover, three major network carriers in Australia will offer the handhelds through postpaid plans. Telstra will take the Google Nexus 5X and offer it starting from a 70 AUD monthly charge. Optus and Vodafone will offer the Nexus 6P. Optus took the 32 GB variant and plans to put it on consumers' hands for 65 AUD per month while Vodafone has the 64 GB and will introduce it at 85 AUD monthly rate.

At the moment, the Nexus 5X's most basic version is offered for 379 USD while the Nexus 6P's retails for 499 USD. Both handsets will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on-board.
