While many people associate the greatest performers in professional wrestling history with the WWE, there is one superstar who has never set foot in Vince McMahon’s ring: Sting. However, that isn’t stopping the company from including this former WCW and TNA icon in its upcoming video game, WWE 2K15.

It was announced last night on “Monday Night RAW” that Sting will be available as a pre-order bonus in the game, which will hit shelves for the PlayStation 4, XBOX One, PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 on October 28.

“The only thing for sure about Sting is nothing’s for sure, except my debut in WWE 2K15,” said Sting in a press release from 2K Games. “I’m honored to have my legacy immortalized in a video game. It’s showtime!”

Sting made his WCW debut in 1991, and he became a fixture at the company until it was bought out by WWE in 2001.

“We’re eager to introduce fans to Sting in a compelling new way, while debuting the next-generation of gaming in the WWE 2K franchise,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K, in the same press release. “Pre-ordering WWE 2K15 is the ultimate way to embrace the history and individuality of Sting’s impressive career.”

Sting, whose real name is Steven Borden, is a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and has wrestled against the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Randy Savage. As of right now, his contract with WWE seems to revolve mainly around the video game, but fans shouldn’t be surprised to see Sting step foot in the ring eventually.

Sting is widely considered the best wrestler to never compete for WWE, and although he is nearing the end of his career, his appearance in the video game and his omniscient presence on the WWE Network has created buzz about his legacy for fans, both young and old.

WWE 2K15 will pay tribute to Sting’s entire career in the game by making both his black and white look from the late ‘90s and his classic “surfer” look from the early ‘90s available in the game.
