Bungie may now be known as the company behind Destiny, but rewind a few years and Bungie's name was synonymous with Halo. The two sci-fi shooter franchises have more than a few similarities, and it's easy to see the Bungie DNA in each of them. If you think that's going to stop the two games from being rivals, however, you would be sadly mistaken.

A new live-action video from the folks over at Freakin Rad shows what might happen if Master Chief and his team of Spartans stumbled upon a fireteam of Guardians while out on patrol. Long story short: plenty of bullets and insults alike fly as the two franchises go head-to-head.

The Guardians may have super-powers, but that isn't enough to stop the genetically engineered Spartan soldiers. The two sides whittle each other down until an unexpected visitor from yet another sci-fi franchise makes a surprise appearance to put an end to the conflict once and for all.

The video is more than a little cheesy, but it features some solid special effects and some spot-on cosplay. The armor for the Guardians looks like it was taken straight out of Destiny, and even if the jokes sometimes come off as cringe-worthy, most of them do find their mark for fans of the franchises. If anybody seriously thinks Destiny's Ghost is better than Halo's Cortana, you need to do some soul searching.
