Fans of the space opera / fantasy-themed Saga are in for a special treat this holiday season: an 8-inch replica of the Lying Cat from the popular comic book.

The Lying Cat statue, which is made of cold-cast resin and painted to bear a striking resemblance to the character it's based on, became available for preorder at midnight of Black Friday 2015, which fell on Nov. 27 of this year. 

The creators of Saga, comic book and television writer Brian K. Vaughn and comic book artist Fiona Staples, teamed up with the merchandiser Skybound to design and distribute the hand-painted statue. Vaughn took to Twitter to thank those who worked on the Saga-themed statuary, and urged fans of the series to buy the $75 comic book paraphernalia fashioned after one of the comic book's most popular characters, a feline that can sense if those around it are lying or not. Delivery is expected in 2016, by early second quarter.
