Capcom's Street Fighter game series is no stranger to live-action. From the 1994 Street Fighter film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme to the more recent Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist mini-series, Capcom's fighting game continues to be reimagined in the real world.

We can now add another live action entry to that list. It's called Street Fighter: Resurrection, and it will set up the events that will unfold in Street Fighter V. The resurrected Charlie Nash will play a key role, but of course other Street Fighter favorites like Ken and Ryu will also be starring.

The five-episode series is coming from the creators of Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, with nearly all of the key talent behind that previous series returning for this one. Mike Moh and Christian Howard will reprise their roles as Ryu and Ken, with Assassin's Fist writer and director Joey Ansah also returning. The series will be produced by Machinima and air exclusively on the free entertainment app go90 when the series launches in March 2016.

Below is the official synopsis for the series:

"Iconic heroes Ken and Ryu are reunited to face their deadliest threat yet. The long-presumed dead Charlie Nash is back, and is targeting legendary Street Fighter champions for mysterious reasons. Now it's up to Ken and Ryu to uncover his lethal plan and discover if he is ally or enemy. Keep your friends close, and your guard up."
