Ferrari has unveiled the GTC4Lusso, the luxury car company's all-wheel drive offering for 2017 that will be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The car is an upgrade to the vehicle that it is replacing, namely the Ferrari FF. The GTC4Lusso's 6.3-liter V12 engine is capable of producing 681 horsepower, up from the Ferrari FF's 651 horsepower, with torque also boosted to 514 pound-feet.

The 0-62 miles per hour time of the GTC4Lusso is also faster by 0.3 seconds compared to the Ferrari FF, with the vehicle boasting a maximum speed of 335 kilometers per hour.

Continuing the design of the Ferrari FF, the GTC4Lusso was designed to be a more family-friendly vehicle compared to the company's stable of high-powered luxury sports vehicles, with the vehicle featuring rear passenger seats.

As the company's all-wheel drive car for 2017, the GTC4Lusso features rear-wheel steering in addition to all-wheel drive, in a new system that Ferrari has named the 4RM-S. In comparison, the Ferrari FF had all-wheel drive, but did not have rear-wheel steering.

The 4RM-S features the Slip Side Control setup of Ferrari, which will work in combination with the vehicle's electronic differential and dampers so that drivers will have no trouble in handling the GTC4Lusso even in extreme situations such as snow-covered and wet roads.

The GTC4Lusso also packs a new Delphi infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay compatibility, with a 10.25-inch display that is larger compared to that of the Ferrari FF. The dual cockpit display of the vehicle, which also shows engine and speed information to passengers in addition to the driver, will have a g-force meter included, which is the first time for a Ferrari vehicle.

In addition, Ferrari has designed the GTC4Lusso to look better aesthetically compared to the Ferrari FF, which received criticism for bearing a utilitarian look that landed it in the list compiled by Edmunds in 2012 of the 10 Ugliest Ferraris of All Time.

The price for the GTC4Lusso has not yet been revealed by Ferrari. The Ferrari FF, as a reference, had a starting price of about $300,000.

Investors are hoping that the GTC4Lusso will lead to more earnings for Ferrari, as V-12 models earn bigger margins for the company compared to V-8 models.
