Feeling a bit cold? Too cold to get up and raise the thermostat?

Well, now you can order Alexa to do it for you.

All you have to do is say, "Alexa, set my thermostat to 74 degrees" or "Alexa, increase the temperature in my house."

Voice conmand controls like that can now be used with the ecobee3 smart thermostat, thanks to its newly-announced integration with the Amazon Echo.

The Wi-Fi thermostat, equipped with room sensors, now syncs directly with the Echo, giving homeowners that much more of a level of comfort.

"We're excited to provide ecobee3 users with added functionality and convenience through Amazon Echo," Stuart Lombard, president and CEO of ecobee, said in the company's press release statement Friday. "Amazon has been a tremendous retailer to work with, and we are looking forward to expanding that relationship through thermostat integration with Echo, which offers complete home voice control."

According to the company, the ecobee3 is already the No. 2-selling smart thermostat in North America, but the only one in the smart home space to use room sensors to pinpoint the specific rooms that users want to deliver comfort to.

In addition, ecobee claims its latest thermostat saves homeowners an average of 23 percent on their heating and cooling bills.

The ecobee3 thermostat, available for $249 on Amazon, is equipped with one complimentary wireless room sensor and is able to support up to 32 sensors. The sensors sell in a package of two for $79.

This announcement just adds to the ever-growing capabilities of Echo's Alexa, which can assist in everything from booking an Uber ride to ordering pizza, streaming songs on Spotify, getting updates on movies and soon enough, even to start Ford cars.
