Nintendo has announced two new Splatoon  Amiibo figures slated to hit the shelves in a few months' time, particularly the Squid Sisters Callie and Marie.

Straight off the bat before anyone gets too excited, the duo won't become playable characters, and the toys won't open up new levels to wreak some havoc in.

As for what they bring to the table, the pair of Amiibo trinkets will unlock a couple of choice songs, showcasing the sisters' sweet dance moves. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise, as the two are the pop idols in the game.

Now Callie and Marie are available together in a bundle with a price tag of $25, but they can be bought individually at $13. They are expected to go official on July 8 along with recolored variants of Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl and Inkling Squid.

Going over the figures themselves really quick, it looks like Nintendo put a lot of work into them in terms of design, describing the fruit of the workmanship poured in as having "tasty textures," "delicious details" and "savory sparkles" — lines that a gourmet-slash-toymaker would probably use.

In other Splatoon-related news, accessories based on the game started rolling out on April 27 to Nintendo's first foray into the mobile gaming scene Miitomo, which already has more than 10 million unique users.

It should also be noted that while the third-person shooter is currently exclusive to the Wii U, it's rumored to land on the Nintendo NX, the next-generation console believed to go official sometime in March 2017.
