The question of whether or not 343 Industries will bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC gamers has been raised several times, but without a straight answer from the developer. This same question has risen once more, and yet again 343 has failed to downright deny any plans to bring the game to PC.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently an Xbox One only affair, as Microsoft is hoping to get fans reacquainted with the Chief before Halo 5 comes around. It is also a ploy to get new players into the vast and luscious Halo universe.

Dan Ayoub, executive producer at 343 Industries, spoke to Kotaku about whether or not the game will come to the PC. His answer was not a yes, nor was it a no; he made a point to stress on the studio focusing on releasing the Xbox One version, as it is right now the main focus

"We've definitely heard the questions about PC," according to Ayoub in a recent interview with Kotaku. "Right now we're a couple months out from the Xbox version's release, and that's our main focus right now. That's quite honestly where all our headspace is right now."

Furthermore, Ayoub went on to say that porting video games from one system to the next might not sound like a lot of work, but where The Master Chief Collection is concerned, it is a lot of work. Understandably, the collection consists of four Halo games re-mastered to be played at 1080p 60 frames per second.

The collection will also consist of the Halo 5 multiplayer beta and the upcoming Halo: Nightfall web series. We should also point out that the user interface is getting a huge overhaul, so no doubt 343 has got its hands full right now.

It means that porting both to the Xbox One and PC would take more work than what the studio is willing to put it, so PC fans will likely have to wait until the Xbox One version is out before getting the chance to experience this game.

"From a technical standpoint, you look at the architecture of the Xbox One, and there are some similarities to the architecture of a modern PC," he said. "That certainly makes that sort of cross-platform development easier. But beyond that the ease goes away. Master Chief Collection is massive. We have to coordinate four games, 100-plus maps, a lot of new cinematics, and Halo 2 Anniversary."

From what we've seen here, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will eventually come to PC, but chances are a year after its Xbox One debut.
