Some Xbox One users may be experiencing issues today on Xbox Live, but don't worry, Microsoft is already working to resolve the issue.

The Xbox Live status page provides some details. Under core services, functions like signing into Xbox Live and account management (which includes account recovery and creating a new account) are having issues on Xbox One. Some players are also having difficulty in joining other players in online games, while others can't access data stored via Xbox Live's cloud service. OneDrive on Xbox 360 is also experiencing issues.

No word yet on when the issues may be resolved, but Microsoft says their engineers and developers are "actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live."

The Xbox Support Twitter account is also aware of the issues, tweeting out: "Our teams are still working hard to get you back to gaming with friends!" Then, the account tweeted three hours ago that Microsoft's teams were hard at work on the problems.

Of course, this isn't the first time Xbox Live has experienced an issue, though the occurrences are thankfully relatively rare. Sony's PlayStation Network also experiences issues from time to time, though it's worth noting that it's not always Microsoft and Sony's fault for outages. In the last couple of years, hackers have subjected Microsoft and Sony to DDOS attacks and more during busy holidays, resulting in millions of gamers being unable to play. Just the other day, Blizzard suffered from a DDOS attack, resulting in players of Overwatch, World of Warcraft and more on PC being unable to play.

Such are the times in which we live. Here's hoping Microsoft resolves the issues soon. In other Xbox news, the Xbox One was the best-selling game console in the United States for July, despite the impending arrival of the Xbox One S in August. One might assume consumers would wait another month to purchase the upgraded hardware, but that doesn't appear that was the case. Might August be another month in which Xbox comes out on top? It's too early to tell, but fans should know sometime in September. July 2016 marks one of the few times over the past couple of years that Microsoft's console has managed to outsell Sony's PlayStation 4. Sony, in the meantime, is set to unveil a new, upgraded version of the PlayStation 4 next month.
