Verizon is looking to bring some attention to its widely expected and powerful Motorola Droid Turbo. The wireless carrier "accidentally" tweeted an image of the smartphone's textured rear case before quickly deleting the post.

Motorola is very busy right now. It recently launched its highly anticipated Android Wear-based Moto 360 smart watch. The device stands out from the traditional rectangular displays found on most current smart watches, including Apple's just announced Apple Watch, which will be released in early 2015, according to the company.

Motorola is also preparing to announced a new partnership with its former owner, Google, with the upcoming 5.9-inch Android L phablet. The smartphone has seen multiple leaks, and benchmarks for the handset show it will have very similar specs to the upcoming Verizon Droid Turbo. Verizon has been teasing the Droid Turbo for a couple of months and the company made a huge slip up when it "accidentally" tweeted an image of the Motorola Droid Turbo, as seen in the image above, before quickly deleting it.

The Verizon Droid Turbo's official user manual just leaked and it provided some juicy details on the smartphone, including an image of a frontal shot of the handset and tons of information about all of its new features and powerful internals.

The image in Verizon's accidental tweet shows an ultrathin smartphone with Moto X styling, with a possible similar aluminum frame. The rear of the smartphone appears to be using the Droid's signature carbon fiber rear case and it also shows off its 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash.

The Verizon Droid Turbo will feature a 5.2-inch ultrasharp 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display and it will run a vanilla version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat (meaning hardly any customizations). It's powered by a very fast 2.65-GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU (graphics processing unit), and has 3 GB of RAM.

The Droid Turbo will feature a high-end 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. The smartphone will support wireless charging out of the box and it will feature a very large 3,900 mAh battery.

The Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo is expected to be announced in the very near future. As always, we'll keep you posted on any new information.
