Microsoft is running a new promo on the Lumia 950 XL, selling the Windows 10 smartphone at just $299 unlocked, for a limited time.
That's a solid $200 off the handset's regular price of $499, allowing for notable savings.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has seen a number of discounts so far, especially since Microsoft started focusing more on other endeavors and less on the Lumia brand. The company acquired Nokia's device and services division back in 2013 and aimed to make Lumia a top contender on the smartphone market, but failed.
Lumia smartphones never rose to the popularity of iOS and Android devices and Microsoft's smartphone business never turned into a big success.
Nevertheless, some Lumia smartphones still pack a punch and the Lumia 950 XL is one of them, sporting impressive specifications for the new $299 price point.

As a reminder, the Lumia 950 XL features a large 5.7-inch QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage, a 20-megapixel rear camera and a 3,340 mAh battery, among the highlights. On the software front, the smartphone runs Windows 10 and promises high-level security and enhanced productivity.
Microsoft is selling the discounted Lumia 950 XL in either black or white color options and the deal is only for a limited time, in limited quantities. Interested customers who want to order the smartphone and get it by Christmas will have to make their purchase by Dec. 20.

The company has also offered the 5.2-inch Lumia 950 at a discounted price of $249, marking a $150 discount off its regular retail price of $399, but the smartphone is no longer in stock at the time of writing. Interested customers can register to get an email from Microsoft when the Lumia 950 goes back in stock.
At $200 off, the Lumia 950 XL may not be available for long either. It may not be among the hottest smartphones currently on the market, but $299 is a fraction of the cost of a flagship smartphone.
Lastly, those looking to spice up their Lumia 950 XL with a case, extra charger or tempered glass screen protector can save up to $60 with Microsoft's discounted Lumia 950 XL accessory bundle. Cases are up to $30 off, while screen protectors and chargers are up to $15 off.
