Apple unveiled the iPad Pro in November 2015 but, while media professionals liked the device, it was a little difficult to compete when technology companies began development of their respective high-end surface tablets. Now that the iPad Pro is past its one-year mark, there are already three new models waiting to top what it offers, according to Apple's tradition.

Apple has kept mum about what the new iPads will bring to the table but that doesn't stop rumors and presumed leaks of the top secret product from circulating in the internet. There are also those who shout out what they want in the next iPad —Tech Times included — in case Apple is open to the suggestions.

What People Want

Fans of Apple devices who are looking forward to the next iPad have contributed ideas that would make the iPad Pro 2 more jaw-dropping than its predecessor. The next generation of iPads is rumored to come in three sizes: 12.9-inch, 7.9-inch, and 10.9-inch. There seems to be no suggestions for a different size but there are requests to remove the physical "Home" button to make the iPad smaller or maximize the display.

There are also hopes that the iPad Pro 2 will be equipped with the newer A10X processor, coupled with a RAM higher than 4 GB. People also want internal storage that is at least 512 GB and a better battery life.

What People Think iPad Pro 2 Has

There are so many rumors about the iPad Pro 2's specifications and accessories but the more consistent ones are listed below.

  • Processor: A10X chip
  • Display: True Tone display with DCI-P3 "Wide Color" support
  • Camera: 12 MP rear, True Tone flash
  • Speakers: Four
  • Accessories: Updated Apple Pencil

Other rumored specs say that the new design will feature ultrathin bezel and a larger display. What other rumored reports cannot agree on is the presence or absence of the 3.5 mm headphone jack, which actually made a big fuss when the iPhone 7 was released without one.

"We believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets. As a result, we expect Apple to launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro in 2017," Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo speculated.

What Apple's Says

Nothing.

The company has not commented on any of the speculations and has not given hints on what the new generation of iPads would possibly have. What they did, however, was to take a dig at its competitors in a recent series of advertisements for the iPad Pro, like the two ads below.
