Leaks continue to pour out for Assassin's Creed: Origins in advance of its expected unveiling at E3 2017, this time in the form of a picture of a preorder card for the game.

Assassin's Creed: Origins, the latest installment in the long-running series, takes the franchise to ancient Egypt, presumably to the earliest days of the brotherhood of Assassins.

'Assassin's Creed: Origins' Steelbook Gold Edition Leaked

The image of the preorder card for Assassin's Creed: Origins was uploaded on Reddit, revealing that the game will have a special Steelbook Gold Edition.

The preorder card shows that the Assassin's Creed: Origins Steelbook Gold Edition will include a copy of the game, a Deluxe Pack, a Season Pass, and a steelbook case. However, there are no details yet on the contents of the Deluxe Pack and what players can look forward to for the Season Pass.

The card also reveals that players who preorder the game will gain access to a bonus mission named Secrets of the First Pyramids. It is unclear if only those who preorder the Steelbook Gold Edition will receive the bonus mission or if it will be available to gamers who prepurchase any edition of Assassin's Creed: Origins.

The visuals portrayed on the preorder card will cast aside any shred of doubt still remaining on the ancient Egyptian setting of Assassin's Creed: Origins. A towering pyramid can be seen in the background alongside the Great Sphinx of Giza, with the game's main character at the center of the card.

This is not the first time that the protagonist of Assassin's Creed: Origins was featured in a leak. Last month, a leaked T-shirt gave a clearer look at the character, which is believed to be named Ba Yek, with a bow and shield while wearing the familiar Assassin cowl and equipped with hidden blade gauntlets. The T-shirt also gave a good glimpse of the game's logo, which is the franchise's logo combined with the Eye of Horus symbol.

The ancient Egyptian setting of Assassin's Creed: Origins was first confirmed through a leaked screenshot that was uploaded in May. The screenshot showed Ba Yek navigating a sailboat through a river, with one of the missions shown to be "follow Shadya to Khenut's Villa." Khenut is a queen from ancient Egyptian history.

Is The 'Assassin's Creed: Origins' Preorder Card Real Or Fake?

While the preorder card looks very authentic, one element that has thrown off gamers is the presence of the old Ubisoft logo.

Last week, Ubisoft announced that it changed its logo from the familiar 3D swirl to a flat one while also replacing the royal blue color with thick black and white lines. It can be assumed, however, that the preorder cards were designed and printed well before the announcement of the new logo, which is why the old logo is the one seen in them.

It will likely not take long before the official details of Assassin's Creed: Origins and its Steelbook Gold Edition are revealed, though, as the game is widely expected to be fully unveiled at the upcoming E3 2017. The annual video game event will run from June 13 to June 15.
